Ľubomír Miča (1960) lives and works in Senica, Slovakia. He is a member of of the Association of Fine Artists of Western Slovakia and also a founder of the interest association of artists SenArt in Senica. He entered the art scene as an autodidact, unambiguously fixed on the painting sphere to which he has been dedicated since the beginning of the millennium. From the very beginning, his efforts aim to the field of non-fictional creation, to authentic visual qualities based on the problem of art forms and distinctive creative practices.

His long-term strategy is Richter´s quoted structural abstraction. He shifts the classic painting technique – oil into atypical expressional and technological relations, where the spontaneous performance on the edge of gestural painting plays a key role. The vibrant optical relationships of colors and their action projection on the canvas have in his works a special place. This projection is implemented on the principle of multiple additive layering of spectral color masses into the final, relief-structured image surface.

He lays mass of paint and spreads it over using a specific spatula technique. In order to verify other innovative processes, he integrates into painting the conventional brush culture based on its tonal values. Recently, he has been adding a new sgraffito element - scraping small spots into the lower layers of the paint.
